Semi Permanent Make Up - Cosmetic or Medical?

Micropigmentation (also known as semi permanent make up, or cosmetic and medical tattooing)  is by no means a new ‘art’, as  the word "tattoo" itself comes from the Tahitian tatau, and was introduced into the English language by Captain James Cook, who made 3 voyages to the South Pacific between 1766 and 1779.

Thank goodness technology has moved on as we now have the  latest digital equipment, pigments, and specially adapted needles, to embrace new uses.  From creating eyebrows for people with alopecia, to areolas for men and women having undergone breast reconstruction.  I’m sure, as SPMU technicians, we will continue to put our skills to the test and find new ways of ‘changing peoples lives.’
