With all the lovely hot weather you can be forgiven for not thinking about storage of makeup, face/body creams and perfumes, but you should. Although companies heat test their products, strong UVA light can cause a change which may alter the smell and feel of the product. Where possible try to keep them cool by placing them out of direct light and lower down (as heat rises), or even a drawer. Some say that during extreme temperatures to try using the fridge to protect them. It isn’t advised to put perfumes in the fridge though as this could upset the sensitive composition. However, Perfumes hate the heat and can’t stand the light. They too could be placed in a drawer or kept in their original box to cut down even further on light. These items can be expensive enough so it’s worth a try.
